On behalf of a prominent company in the Fin-Tech industry, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The ideal candidate will lead a rapidly developing Electronic Money Institution (EMI). This role requires a visionary leader with a proven track record in Fin-Tech, exceptional strategic thinking, and the ability to drive the company’s growth and innovation in the digital financial services sector. The CEO will be responsible for setting the company’s direction, managing operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the company’s strategic objectives in collaboration with the senior management team, ensuring alignment with the owner’s approved business model.
Operational Oversight: Lead and manage the company’s operations, product development, sales, and marketing efforts, ensuring regulatory compliance and achieving commercial goals.
Market Expansion: Spearheaded the business setup and growth, building the company’s presence and market share from the ground up.
Partnership Development: Identify, negotiate, and secure strategic partnerships with acquiring banks, payment service providers (PSPs), and alternative payment methods (APMs).
Regulatory Engagement: Collaborate closely with the Managing Director to understand and manage the EMI application process and prepare for regulatory interviews.
Talent Acquisition: Develop and implement a comprehensive hiring strategy to build a high-performing team that supports the company’s growth and innovation goals.
Innovation and Transformation: Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance product offerings and operational efficiency.
Skill Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 7 years in the banking or payment/e-money services industry, including at least 4 years in senior leadership roles (MD, CEO, Executive Director).
Regulatory Expertise: In-depth understanding of E-Money and payment services regulations, with extensive experience interacting with financial regulators.
Network: Strong connections with top management of banks etc.
Strategic Thinking: Excellent strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to identify market trends and position the company for competitive advantage.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with financial technologies and digital transformation strategies.
Communication Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
